Welcome to the registration and information page of the Livingstone Conference on Cluster Munitions.

Livingstone conference is a major milestone in developing a new international instrument that will prohibit cluster munitions that cause unacceptable harm to civilians. Since the inception of the process a year ago, Africa has been a strong supporter with more than 40 countries actively participating in the various international and regional conferences. 

International negotiations on a treaty text will take place in Dublin in May 2008 and it is crucial to consolidate the African momentum and to strengthen the African position. 

The Conference was held in the Zambezi Sun Hotel on the edge of the Victoria Falls in Livingstone, Zambia. Official programme starts on Monday 31st March at 8.00.
