Welcome to the registration and information page of the Livingstone Conference on Cluster Munitions.
Livingstone conference is a major milestone in developing a new
international instrument that will prohibit cluster munitions that cause
unacceptable harm to civilians. Since the inception of the process a year
ago, Africa has been a strong supporter with more than 40 countries
actively participating in the various international and regional
conferences.
International negotiations on a treaty text will take place in Dublin in
May 2008 and it is crucial to consolidate the African momentum and to strengthen
the African position.
The Conference was held in the Zambezi
Sun Hotel on the edge of the Victoria Falls in Livingstone, Zambia. Official
